Sanjay has a background in climate policy, urban planning, and community organizing. He currently serves as the Climate Resilience Program Manager for the City of Boston, where he leads Boston’s neighborhood climate resilience planning, manages the Climate Ready Boston program, and leads additional climate-related projects and plans. Previously, he worked to develop long-range plans for multi-billion dollar investments to protect New York City from the impacts of climate change. He is a graduate of the Master in Public Administration program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Master in Urban Planning program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. At Harvard, Sanjay served as a fellow of the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative and founded the Harvard Climate Leaders Program. Prior to graduate school, Sanjay was Research Analyst at Regional Plan Association, focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation, parks and open space, energy generation and efficiency, regional cap-and-trade systems, and international forums for sharing best practices among global cities and regions. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Sanjay has a background in community and political organizing. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics, Politics, and Public Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London.
